About the Outfitter:

You will find mule deer with antelope in the pasture lands. The deer are local, and the 3,500 acres of private land are adjoined by thousands of acres of national forest. You can hunt the private or public land or you can hunt the canyons as the public hunting pressure in the national forest pushes more deer from the public land to the private land for their annual trek to the safety of the ranch.

There is a high desire to hunt the mule deer known to be on this property.  Hunting the canyons is on foot, but that is where the biggest deer and the highest concentrations stay.  The antelope and mule deer numbers are managed to provide every hunter a great hunting experience.  You will work for the deer and antelope, but you will go home with a nice buck for your efforts.

You can shoot mule deer bucks but you cannot shoot a mule deer doe.  The outfitter will give you their cell phone number and they are usually around the ranch somewhere all day. You can call or text them if you have any questions through your hunt.

Lay of the Land:

Hunting is on 3,500 acres of private land with CRP, canyons, cedar trees, buck brush, sand hills and cover. Property adjoins national forest. The canyons are the ranches private land as well and is a prime place for the deer. In this dry climate of NW Nebraska, summer and fall can get dry. With some livestock on the ranch year around and springs the wildlife knows they can always find water. Stock ponds fed by springs are kept full, so they are also a dependable water source as well. This keeps a lot of game animals around the ranch, but when pushed you will find them in the high brush and cover areas of the ranch. A forest fire about 5 years ago on part of the ranch has grown into a deer food delicatessen of new growth and tender young and juicy forbes that are highly desired by all deer and antelope.

2 to 4 hunters per group.
