2025 Season Dates:

Archery/Muzzleloader Hunts (General Dates = Not In Stone):

Pack-in 7 Day Archery Hunts: 1 day in, hunt 5 days and 1 day out. Each outfitter does it different so you/they may negotiate different days.

Cabin archery hunts are 5 days at the property arrival the night before and leave the last day.

Deer/Elk: Archery 9/2-9/30 generally thought of as 4 weeks (so 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th weeks), Muzzleloader 9/14-22.

Plains Deer: Archery 10/1-25, 11/6-30, 12/15-31; Muzzleloader 10/12-20;

Antelope: Archery 8/15-31 bucks only or 9/1-20 either-sex, Muzzleloader 9/21-29

 

Rifle Hunts:

1st and 4th rifle seasons are 5 days arrival day before opener and leave day after last day.

2nd rifle season is 9 days and typically split in half for 4 day hunts.  3rd rifle season is 7 days for either split for two 3 day hunts or a 3 day followed by a 4 day hunt or a 5 day hunt with extra days possible depending on the hunt provider.

Split rifle seasons are arrival the day before the season and leave the last day (first half of split) or day after last day (second half of split).

1st rifle elk only, 2nd/3rd/4th elk and mule deer.

2nd Rifle 10/25-11/2, 3rd Rifle 11/8-16, 4th Rifle 11/19-23, Late Cow 11/25-1/31

2025 CO License Info:

All nonresident archery elk is a draw.  Generally, elk archery, 2nd and 3rd rifle licenses are over the counter.  Muzzleloader, 1st and 4th rifle are a draw but can be had without preference points.  Mule deer, antelope and cow elk are all a draw and mostly mule deer and antelope take a preference point at least and cow elk can be leftover from the draw.  There are some private land only licenses for deer that don't take any points to draw but must apply in March.

All nonresident big game licenses include a fishing license.
