Lay of the Land:
Bull Basin Cabin: A cabin is at the end of the road on 50 acres private with 20,000 acres national forest access 100 yards from the back of the cabin and walking access only. The terrain levels out 1/4 mile (400 yards) behind and there is a knob hill that is great hunting. The cabin is near the top of the hills and on the north facing side where the elk hang out. You will see deer and elk tracks on the road up to the cabin. There was a 6x6 bull taken in 2023 near the cabin and an Amish group hunts every year and fills most of their tags. This cabin will sleep 4 hunters and there is a camper that can sleep 4 more. Not a lot of flash but in the great location. The property is at 8400' elevation and perfect for elk with closest public access 2 miles away so it takes work for anyone else to get up there. The cabin is on the back side of the private land, so no one hunts it. Do not forget you can shoot right out of the cabin door as you leave in the morning. The road to it is accessible by 4WD Truck or ATV. Pockets like this are famous for producing bucks and bulls that no one has ever seen before. The heat is propane stove, cooking is propane and since you are off the grid the electrical is from the cabin generator. Bring water to drink and you have all the comforts of home in this well insulated cabin. There is a fire pit and picnic table plus an outhouse available.
