Welcome to Northwest Colorado, home of the famous Flat Tops Wilderness and its 60,000 elk! We will put you in the middle of them…but first we must get there.
Our hunting, like the rest of the services, starts horseback. We take you in with horses and a pack string. Hunts are offered for archery, muzzleloader, and first, second, or third rifle seasons. All the hunt packages include game packing, radio contact, and service to a level you will enjoy.
We offer multiple drop camps and one guided camp. Our drop camps are in the middle of elk country and if the elk are talking while you are there then you will hear them from camp.
Our drop camp locations are several miles from any other outfitters camp. All will have at least 14×16 wall tent with wood stove waiting for you with water and firewood on site and nearby, all the camp equipment will be available for cooking and sleeping, you bring only your clothes, sleeping bag, personal gear and food. We encourage you to bring what you want to have for a comfortable camp. We provide emergency radio communications for your stay and will check on you as we can. Each hunt is for a minimum of five hunting days plus the travel days, so a hunt is a minimum of 7 days.
We cannot guarantee you an elk, but we would like you to know we will do our very best to provide you with an excellent ride in, great camp and our knowledge that there are elk close to your camp. We will share our knowledge of where we think they might be and offer you all the encouragement we can for you to go get one. We want you to come back!
We offer extremely limited hunting for deer. This is not a recommended deer camp, however you can purchase a bear tag to go with your elk tag.
