About the Hunt Provider:

The hunt provider has a 500 acre parcel of blocked public land with trespass through the private ranch with lodging.  He has trail camera pictures he got in the honey hole of elk, deer and black bear.  The honey hole holds big elk and is about 1 mile long by 3/4 mile wide.  Terrain is not easy to get to by other public hunters and why the elk like it.  This is not a "walk in the park" hunt and can be physical.

Western Colorado, GMU421. The closest town is Grand Junction.

DIY hunting with some direction.

Species & Recommended Seasons:

Elk, mule deer and black bear any season.

Licenses:

Muzzleloader, 1st and 4th rifle for bull and cow elk tags are a draw.  Archery, 2nd and 3rd rifle elk licenses over the counter.

Mule Deer all licenses a draw.

License and Voucher Watchdog will get you the licenses you need.

Mountain property for 4 minimum to 6 max.

Mode of Travel:

Drive to property. Recommend ATVs for getting to/from lodging or game retrieval only so as not to spook game. Horses ok too.

Pricing:

Elk/Deer/Bear

Archery 5 days, muzzleloader split in half, 1st and 4th rifle 5 days, 2nd rifle split in half, 3rd rifle 5 days with 2 extra days available.

Cabin lodging, meals on your own for 2 min to 4 max hunters $1995/person.

Additional $995 for 2nd animal, 3rd animal free, licenses extra.

Non-hunting guest extra.

Extra hunting days $350/person/day when available.
